The moon this time of year always has this greater than life energy for me, I have always been a fan of the moon during harvest season. Many cultures in both hemispheres kept track of the seasons by giving distinctive names to each recurring full moon. March 1st we will see the Worm Moon, which is the last full moon before the spring equinox around March 20. The equinox marks the end of winter, and the start of spring and the Full Moon is named after the earthworms that emerge at this time of year.
Just how farmers use the cycle to plant crops I believe we can use the same idea to plant our intentions as we enter spring. This is a perfect time to shred yourself from the harshness of winter and prepare our bodies and mind for the new season. This moon is very aligned with the seasons, the earth is warming and the melting snow is nourishing the soil of the earth. This is our chance to nourish ourselves with self-care and blossom into spring.
This moon is allllll about Fresh Starts.
Prepare ourselves for a deep spring clean, not just around the house but for our souls too. Take a look at the past 6 months, what have you been carrying with you during winter? Use this Full Moon to release the past so you are only bring positive vibes with you into the new season. Simply put, cut off the dead weight!
By shredding all that is holding you back it gives you free time to reflect on your goals and what you need to help you move forward. This time brings clarity and focus, set those intentions during your full moon ceremony. This is the perfect moon to welcome spring and let your spirit be free.
